Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a skilled cook who takes pride in delivering high-quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations. In addition to strong culinary abilities, we are looking for someone who demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a desire to grow into a larger leadership role within the organization. The successful candidate will have opportunities to mentor team members, assist with kitchen coordination, and develop the supervisory and management skills needed for future advancement. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about food, teamwork, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

  • Supports Chef with hands-on leadership and management of all kitchen and culinary operations, including production, inventory, purchasing, food safety and quality control.
  • Actively participate in preparing and serving meals.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor all kitchen staff with a strong focus on teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong, professional working relationship with the client.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Support Chef with monitoring food and labor costs, ensuring adherence to established budgets.
  • Support and promote an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • Lead by example and foster a coaching-driven environment that promotes growth and development within the culinary team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Experience with catering, restaurants, or a mix of both.
  • Proven experience in cost and labour control.
  • Proven leadership skills and training.
  • Experience with inventory control and order management.
  • This position requires the Senior Line Cook to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

Job-Type, Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, permanent
  • 40 -50 hours per week
