Full job description

Position Overview

The REALTORS® Association of Edmonton (RAE) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in Technical Writing to support the documentation of our internally developed and supported applications and systems. The role will work closely with our Sr. Integrations Lead to determine which applications will be documented in which order. This documentation will be fed into our Claude AI tools to ease subsequent development and testing efforts. Consultant will report directly to the Director of Technology.

Contract Duration

This is a fixed‑term contract position that will begin in early to mid-June 2026 and conclude at the end of September 2026. The successful candidate must be available for full term of this initiative. This position will be mostly office-based with allowances for work from home when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document technical specifications for internally developed and supported applications and systems.
  • Develop process flows and related BA artifacts.
  • Document workflows, data flows, and system interactions in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
  • Will be responsible for managing and reporting on backlog of documentation efforts.

Key Competencies & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Technology Business Analysis.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Experience with MS Office 365, MS SharePoint, MS Copilot, MS Visio, Claude or similar AI tools is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism and attention to detail.
