What You’ll Do

As a Casual 2nd Cook, you’ll jump into our busy kitchen to help bring fresh, delicious meals to life for our diverse community of students, staff, and guests.

  • Prep & Cook: Assist primary Cooks in preparing high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items
  • Showcase Variety: Keep our popular salad and sandwich bars fresh, vibrant, and well-stocked
  • Cater with Care: Help prepare options for various dietary needs and allergies
  • Maintain High Standards: Uphold top-notch kitchen hygiene and strict Food Safe regulations
  • Bring the Good Vibes: Bring a friendly, communicative, and team-first attitude every time you step on shift

What We’re Looking For

  • Certifications: Current Food Safe required. (Serving It Right and First Aid are great bonuses!)
  • Experience: Background in a high-volume kitchen (restaurant, hotel, or institutional)
  • Culinary Skills: Solid prep experience—baking, salad, and sandwich prep skills are highly valued!
  • Dietary Knowledge: Familiarity with food allergies and special dietary needs
  • Commute: You live within a reasonable commuting distance to our campus in Mill Bay
