Squires Industrial is hiring skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics for rotational positions. This opportunity is built for mechanics who want steady work, strong earning potential, and a schedule that provides meaningful time away from the job.

The Position

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Squires Industrial, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment in a demanding industrial environment. You’ll be trusted to solve problems, keep equipment moving, and complete quality repairs safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Complete repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
  • Perform inspections and identify potential equipment failures
  • Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
  • Follow company and site-specific safety procedures
  • Work independently and alongside other experienced tradespeople
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
  • Experienced apprentices may also be considered
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience with heavy trucks, construction, mining, agricultural, or industrial equipment
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Safety tickets and field-service experience are considered assets
