Job Posting: Dental Assistant

Job Description:

As a Dental Assistant at Welland Smiles Dentistry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, comfortable dental care in a friendly patient-focused environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Overall Expectations:

  • Present a positive image of dental services to patients.
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide an optimal customer experience.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and office procedures.
  • Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintaincleanliness throughout the day.
  • Seat patients, review planned treatments, address questions or concerns, and communicate with the dentist to resolve any issues.
  • Capture digital x-rays and digital photos as required.
  • Take impressions, if qualified.
  • Follow IPAC requirements diligently.
  • Ensure the timely processing of instruments to make them available for all procedures.
  • Maintain and respect all dental equipment.
  • Think strategically and thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

  • Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program.
  • X-ray Certification (HARP).
  • Certified in CPR-C and First Aid.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player who motivates and takes initiative.

Remuneration Based on Experience

Starting at: $24.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:45 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 7:45 am-12:00 pm

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
