Knowledge & Abilities
As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.

As a People Health Associate with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
- Support the operation of the VCH People Health Program which assists ill and/or injured employees to stay at work or return to productive work in a timely, safe and sustainable manner.
- Administer budgets, prepare reports and findings from detailed analysis and perform senior level administrative functions. The analysis and advice may include the development or review of policies, procedures, reporting methods, business practices and/or work processes.
- Provide senior level administrative support to the team including coordinating technological support in partnership with Information Management/Information Systems (IMIS) and maintaining various databases.
- Work independently and interface primarily with Managers, HR/LR Advisors, Unions, the People Health team, employees, WorkSafe B.C. and staff in related program/service areas.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or related program plus two years’ recent related experience in a complex health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation skills software.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Applies diligence and care and attention to detail to maintain, monitor, calculate, process and summarize financial and statistical data, records and confidential information.
- Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
- Communicates in a compelling, clear and understandable manner (both verbally and in writing) to ensure systems and processes are consistently followed and monitored for effectiveness and that gaps are addressed and resolved when identified. Utilizes time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.
