Full job description

Demonstrated Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
  • Installing pipes, drainage & fixtures in commercial, industrial and high-rise settings
  • Locating riser valves and main shut-off valves and completing riser shutdowns & replacement
  • PRV & mixing valve servicing and adjustments
  • Snaking and power flushing clogged drains and sewer mains
  • Removing old rusted, damaged and leaking fixtures/pipes
  • Replacing fixtures, controls, and drainage (shower control, toilet, bathtub, sink, valves)
  • Knowledge of domestic (booster skid), sanitary and storm (pits)
  • Ability to investigate leaks using thermal imagery and other technologies
  • Ability to complete meter installations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints , mechanical drawings, and specifications to determine work details and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of stock and tools in service vehicle
  • Writing work orders, reporting to the office, and communicating with on-site management
  • Proficiency with soldering
  • Knowledge of rough-ins, final trims installations, drain clearing equipment, PEX/PEX-A piping and its tools, pipeline cameras & location equipment

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

  • You are a self-starter, with initiative and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • You are proficient in multi-tasking in the presence of frequent interruptions, can handle competing priorities and handle stress with grace
  • You are customer service driven, and have an ability to interact comfortably with homeowners, property managers, general contractors, and other trade professionals
  • You work with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • You maintain a clean work space, accurate truck stock and tools in working condition

Schedule

40 - 50 hour work week - Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Experience:

  • Plumbing: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • 306A (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
