Full-time – 40 hours per week – Kirkton ON

The Kirkton Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned mixed animal clinic in southwestern Ontario. This progressive multi-vet clinic serves small animal needs as well as a strong food animal presence. We are seeking an organized and motivated Veterinary Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clinic. This role supports both the administrative and operational functions of the clinic while ensuring a positive experience for clients, patients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinic operations and workflow
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
  • Supervise, support and lead clinic staff
  • Plan and manage staff scheduling
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding and staff training
  • Support employee performance management and professional development
  • Implement and maintain health and safety processes
  • Maintain clinic policies, procedures, and employee records
  • Promote a client-centered environment and facilitates the resolution of client concerns
  • Manage clinic systems, software, and administrative processes with the aid of outside specialists
  • Ensure clinic facilities and equipment are in good repair and meet professional standards
  • Support basic bookkeeping and payroll administration
  • Collaborate with other members of the management team

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Veterinary clinic experience is considered an asset
  • Bovine experience is considered an asset
  • Basic bookkeeping or payroll experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Familiarity with Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, AODA, WSIB)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft 365
