In addition to core data governance responsibilities, the ideal candidate should also be able to support broader advisory-type activities, including business analysis, migration readiness assessment, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional coordination. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:

Help establish and refine data ownership, stewardship, and governance operating models
-
Assess applications and data domains for cloud migration readiness, including governance, classification, quality, lineage, retention, privacy, and control implications

Ensure data governance requirements are considered and embedded across migration planning, implementation, testing, go-live, and post-go-live operations
-
Facilitate collaboration across business, risk, governance, and technology teams to support effective implementation and adoption of governance practices
-
Support data classification, retention, usage, access, and control requirements in alignment with regulatory and enterprise standards
-
Help identify and define data quality expectations, governance checkpoints, and monitoring requirements
-
Contribute to metadata, catalog, and lineage-related requirements where relevant to migration activities
-
Create governance-related deliverables as needed, including frameworks, assessments, process documentation, RACI models, standards, risk considerations, and executive/readout materials
-
Gather and document business and stakeholder requirements; facilitate workshops; document current and future state processes; and translate business needs into governance and process requirements
-
Support issue, risk, dependency, and action tracking across governance-related workstreams
-
Provide practical advisory support to help teams make informed decisions in a regulated cloud migration environment
