Part-Time Production Worker / CookCasalinga Food & Catering Company — Burnaby, BC

Casalinga Food & Catering Company is looking for a reliable, hardworking Part-Time Production Worker / Cook to join our busy food production kitchen.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in doing things correctly, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to established recipes and production specifications
• Slice, chop, portion, weigh, and package food products accurately
• Cook food using stove tops, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, cooking instructions, and food safety procedures
• Measure ingredients accurately and maintain consistency between batches
• Assist with preparation of catering orders, prepared meals, and other food products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products
• Follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
• Assist other kitchen team members as needed
• Perform general kitchen cleaning and organization duties

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, catering, or restaurant environment is an asset
• Comfortable working with commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to follow written recipes and instructions consistently
• Comfortable working with measurements, weights, and portion sizes
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good organizational skills and a positive attitude
• Food Safe certification is an asset
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive food preparation tasks

Position: Part-Time Production Worker / Cook
Schedule: Part-time; Monday - Thursday 3pm start (approx 5 hours a day)
