Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of various green spaces. This role involves working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently. A strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques is essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for landscaping projects
  • Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
  • Use hand tools and power tools for planting, digging, and other landscaping tasks
  • Conduct gardening activities including soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control
  • Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, patios, and pathways
  • Maintain equipment through regular mechanical checks and basic repairs
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape designs

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with landscaping, concrete work, horticulture, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and gardening techniques
  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators
  • Strong understanding of irrigation systems installation and repair
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus for operating equipment or transporting materials
