CARGO CABBIE, Toronto’s award-winning boutique packing, moving, and storage company, is looking for a Team Lead/Driver/Mover to join our growing crew in Etobicoke. Since 2010, we've been recognized by BlogTO, HomeStars, Houzz, and ThreeBestRated for our white-glove moving service and commitment to quality.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A reliable, hardworking team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Someone with a positive attitude, high energy, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • A customer service pro who’s eager to grow into leadership roles.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage teams, coordinate moves, and ensure client schedules and needs are met.
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure they are carried out efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the moving process.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and any specific instructions.
  • Manually load, unload, and transport furniture and household items, employing both physical effort and rudimentary material handling tools.
  • Perform daily inventory checks of the truck, ensuring it meets operational standards and is adequately equipped for tasks at hand.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during moving operations.
  • Ensure that moving services meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct quality checks during and after moves to ensure proper handling of items and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures, including workplace safety rules and hazard controls.
  • Attend training sessions, share insights, and promptly address any health, safety, wellness, or environmental concerns.

Compensation:

  • A competitive wage with experience and qualifications.
  • Generous tips from satisfied clients.
  • Performance-based bonuses for achieving predetermined targets or exceeding client satisfaction goals.

*Must be willing to work weekends (occasional Sundays included*)
*Must be willing to work occasional nights*

Wage increases are determined by work performance, punctual consistent attendance, and a willingness to contribute meaningfully to the company and its success. There is plenty of room and opportunity for growth!
