Who We Are

Guardteck Security is a trusted Canadian-owned and operated provider of security services, proudly operating under Kandor Management Corp., a facility services provider alongside Everclean Facility Services and Kendrix Technologies. We support clients across a diverse range of industries. We believe that exceptional service begins with the right people. That’s why we invest heavily in our team through thorough training, ongoing support, and genuine opportunities for growth. When our people are empowered and set up for success, it reflects in every interaction and at every site we support.

Security is more than a service, it’s a responsibility. Our teams are committed to creating safe, reliable environments while building strong relationships with the clients and communities we support. Every site is approached with professionalism, consistency, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Our strength lies in our people. Every role contributes to the outstanding level of service we are known for, and each individual brings unique value to our team. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to creating a workplace where individuals can develop meaningful, long-term careers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Guardteck’s security team and be part of the impactful work we do.

The Opportunity: Own the client relationships and site teams behind some of the region's most visible security accounts.
This is a client-facing operations role with real financial ownership and a fast track into senior leadership.
You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of sites, leading site supervisors and frontline teams to ensure consistent service and operational excellence
Compensation: $85,000–$105,000 per year.
Location & Schedule: Based in Burnaby, BC, with regular travel to client sites across the region. A vehicle allowance is provided.
WHY THIS ROLE, WHY NOW
  • Built for growth. We're scaling fast and invest in people who prove themselves — this is a feeder role into senior ops leadership, not a ceiling.
  • Full operational exposure. Client relations, team leadership, recruitment, compliance, financial oversight — you'll touch every part of the business.
  • Real ownership. You'll run your own portfolio of accounts with genuine visibility into performance, not just a coordination seat.
  • A team that notices. Wins get recognized, big and small, in a culture that's deliberately not corporate-default.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
  • Be the face of the account. Run regular client check-ins, site visits, and quarterly business reviews — you own the relationship end to end.
  • Keep contracts on track. Track staffing compliance, incident response times, and audit results against what we've promised clients.
  • Lead through your site supervisors. Coach and mentor site-level leadership so service quality holds even when you're not in the room.
  • Own the numbers. Monitor site budgets, resolve billing disputes, and keep account performance aligned to financial targets.
  • Drive improvement, not just maintenance. Spot where service, staffing, or process can get better — and lead the fix.
WHAT YOU BRING
4 to 5+ years in account management, client services, or operations leadership — security, facilities, property management, or hospitality backgrounds all translate well
  • Confident relationship-builder who's comfortable owning client escalations
  • Proven ability to coach and lead supervisors or frontline teams
  • Strong financial literacy — budgets, invoicing, contract terms
  • Sharp judgment, discretion, and follow-through under multiple priorities
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Class 5 driver's licence, no restrictions
  • Technologically agile, with working familiarity across security and frontline tech stacks (workforce management, reporting, communications platforms) and a confident understanding of AI-enabled tools shaping the industry.
  • ASIS APP (Associate Protection Professional) or CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certification is a definite asset — and if you don’t hold it yet, we’re happy to support you in obtaining it.
What we offer
  • Competitive pay: $85,000–$105,000
  • Benefits: extended health & dental, vacation, vehicle allowance, phone & laptop, and a professional-development budget of $2000 per year.
  • Real growth: we promote from within — those who step up and deliver have a clear path into senior operations leadership.
  • Purpose and culture: a team that communicates clearly, supports one another, and shows up ready to perform — doing work that keeps communities safe and facilities running smoothly.
