Company description

Recycle West is the leader in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba for the management of liquid industrial and commercial wastes. This includes antifreeze, lubricants, light fuels, and any waste or used oil. Recycle West also collects and manages waste glycol, solvents, sorbents, sludges, oily water, gun wash, and oil related plastics. Our facilities are easily accessible by truck or rail car due to the on-site terminal service.

Job description

As a Yard Team Member with Recycle West, you will:

  • Assist the Solidification Facility Manager with offloading duties, safely and efficiently
  • Fill out paperwork with a high attention to detail
  • Operate yard equipment, such as a loader or forklift, safely and efficiently
  • Daily upkeep of the yard, scale shack, and solidification facility
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic throughout all assigned tasks
  • Operate in a team setting and without supervision

Key Requirements and Skills:

  • Ability to work outside in all conditions, year round
  • Work in compliance with Recycle West safety and occupational health and safety policies
  • Ability to perform physical work with medium and heavy lifting on a regular basis
  • Must be able to read and fill in written and printed materials
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must safely operate and maintain yard equipment and tools, including skid steer
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently
  • Reliable and self motivated
  • Ability to interact with management, customers, trades, and employees in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to work overtime hours, including weekends where required
