About JY Construction

JY Construction is a commercial general contractor specializing in restaurant renovations, tenant improvements, and commercial construction projects across Ontario. We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and building long-term relationships with our clients.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities within the restaurant industry, particularly Western restaurant chains and franchise groups.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold calling, and client outreach.
  • Build relationships with restaurant chains, franchise owners, corporate decision-makers, property managers, and commercial clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract signing and project handoff.
  • Conduct regular client visits and attend in-person meetings throughout the GTA.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for repeat business.
  • Work closely with the estimating and project management teams to prepare proposals and quotations.
  • Represent JY Construction at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management is required.
  • Proven experience developing new clients and generating business opportunities.
  • Experience selling to commercial clients or developing key accounts is highly preferred.
  • Existing client relationships or industry contacts are considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and confident personality with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Strong organizational and client management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and achieving sales targets.
