Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. The ideal candidate has a passion for food preparation, excellent food safety practices, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation according to established recipes and feature menu items
  • Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Meal assembly, plating, and garnishing to ensure visual appeal
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Handle food products properly, including storage, portioning, and handling raw ingredients
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by maintaining a positive and steady workflow
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned/on set schedule
  • Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed

Qualifications

  • Prior food service or restaurant experience is required; willingness to learn is essential
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Experience with food handling, meal preparation, and kitchen operations in the food industry
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and keeping a calm professional environment
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Basic understanding of serving standards and customer service principles is a plus
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, some heavy lifting required and willing to clean
  • Must hold a valid up to date food handlers certificate
