Full job description

Central Saskatchewan Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Meat Cutter for our Meat department at our Food Store in Lanigan, SK.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here." This will be achieved by:

  • Effective ordering, receiving, inspections, storage, and preparation and handling of meats and/or fish and seafood and supplies.
  • Maintaining and ensure compliance with Central Saskatchewan Co-op standards and government food and sanitation health and safety standards.
  • General housekeeping duties to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, and clean, including sharpening equipment and monitoring refrigeration temperature within all food safety standards and guidelines.
  • Be responsible for providing information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are interested in a career in the Meat Department and:

  • Have a grade 12 education.
  • Have 1-3 years of relevant meat experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
  • You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50lbs, climb ladders and kneel
