Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of clean items for easy access by kitchen staff
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and supporting the kitchen team during busy periods
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination
• Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area by removing trash, sweeping floors, and maintaining organized workspaces
• Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use

Requirements

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and food safety standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations including food handling and food preparation support is a plus
