OVERVIEW

Royal Inheritance Church Canada is seeking friendly, confident and dependable Community Outreach Assistants to help create awareness of our church services, community events and special programs across Hamilton.

This is a paid, part-time casual position involving approximately 4 hours of work on weekends. The schedule and outreach location may vary and will be communicated in advance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage respectfully with people in selected Hamilton neighbourhoods and public areas
  • Distribute flyers and provide accurate information about church services and community programs
  • Personally invite individuals and families to upcoming events
  • Answer basic questions in a friendly and professional manner
  • Direct interested people to the church’s registration or contact channels
  • Keep a simple record of outreach locations, materials distributed and meaningful responses
  • Represent Royal Inheritance Church Canada positively and respectfully
  • Follow all safety instructions and applicable rules for outreach in public or private spaces

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with new people
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work with limited supervision
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Respectful of people from different backgrounds
  • Comfortable representing and promoting a Christian church and its programs
  • Able to walk or stand for portions of the outreach period
  • Available for approximately 4 hours on weekends
  • Able to travel to assigned outreach locations within Hamilton
  • Previous outreach, customer service, sales, ministry, community engagement or promotional experience is an asset but not required

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

  • $20 per hour
  • Approximately 4 hours per week
  • Primarily weekend work
  • Part-time and casual
  • In-person outreach in Hamilton, Ontario
