Overview

We are seeking dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associates to join our retail teams at our Woodstock and Florenceville-Bristol stores. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. This position will also help build relationships with existing and potential clients, and working with the Contractor Sales team to support our customers through the design, renovation and building process. The Sales Associate will be instrumental in creating a welcoming shopping environment and driving sales growth through effective merchandising and upselling techniques.

Duties

  • Greet customers and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure the store is clean and inviting
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Utilize strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions, new products, and store policies
  • Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
  • The ability to multitask while staying organized and meeting sales targets
  • A background of working well as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is required
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and basic math skills
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and product demonstration techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
  • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong phone etiquette skills for engaging with customers.
