With more than $4 million in annual revenue, a strong reputation in our industry, and a workforce of over 100 employees during our peak season, we have built a successful organization that continues to evolve.
We're now entering an exciting new phase.
A significant new business venture is underway that will transform our organization from a primarily seasonal operation into a year-round business. As we grow and diversify, we're looking for an experienced Director of Finance & Controller to join our senior leadership team and help lead the financial strategy that will support this next stage of success.
Reporting directly to the President, this role offers a rare opportunity to influence strategic decision-making while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
This is a confidential recruitment. We respectfully request that applicants maintain discretion throughout the hiring process.
About the Role
As our senior financial leader, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all areas of finance and accounting. You'll partner closely with the leadership team to ensure sound financial management, support business growth, improve operational performance, and provide the insights needed to make informed decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with operational execution and wants to be part of an organization experiencing meaningful growth and transformation.

- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity requirements.
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations.
- Deliver financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Accounting & Controller Functions
- Oversee all accounting operations, including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll oversight
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets

- Coordinate the annual Review Engagement.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, tax regulations, GST filings, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintain effective financial controls and policies that safeguard company assets.
- Assist leadership with insurance matters, legal matters, regulatory inquiries, and risk management initiatives.
Leadership & Systems
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting and administrative team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with department managers across the organization.
- Support and enhance financial systems, accounting software, POS systems, and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies through technology and process improvements.
Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who brings both strong technical expertise and exceptional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
