Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food and beverage orders, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cashiering, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties

  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety standards
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and dining areas
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
  • Assist with food handling, preparation, and basic kitchen tasks as needed
  • Ensure all food industry regulations are followed for safety and quality assurance
  • Provide friendly, attentive service to customers, addressing any questions or concerns

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant operations preferred
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills for upselling and engaging with customers
