What You'll Do
To provide meaningful, goal-based care for children/youth with special needs while at the same time providing respite for the child’s caregiver. Service can be provided in the home setting or in the community. The Support Worker provides this service on a one-to-one basis and frequently works alone with the child/youth unless determined otherwise by the supervisor. Assisted daily living tasks such as toileting, feeding or dressing

Education, Qualifications and Certifications
· Preferred: Post secondary school diploma in Human Services
· First Aid/CPR Certification Level C (mandatory)
Minimum: Secondary School diploma
Experience and Knowledge
· Preferred: Extensive hands-on experience of at least 2 years in providing service with the special needs population.
· Minimum: Previous work experience with individuals with special needs and their families, in a relevant social service environment.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
