JOB TITLE: Appraiser/Estimator

LOCATION: Edmonton, AB

REPORTS TO: Store Team Lead

JOB SUMMARY

The Automotive Damage Appraiser (Estimator) will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support through various channels including phone, email and in-person client interactions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include writing estimates for vehicles on-site and Photo Based, using online system to manage estimate bookings, disassembling vehicles, logging, and categorizing vehicle damage information, moving vehicles, taking pictures, working with Insurance vendors & third-party customers, and assisting everyone through the standard estimate process. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for efficiently handling damage entry tasks, including reviewing new assignments, estimates and our management system, as well as maintaining your email inbox. Utilizing Excel, Body Shop Connect, Qapter, Progi and ARMS.

You will also be instrumental in keeping our front of office area organized and customer ready and will play a vital role serving as the face of our company, greeting customers with a warm smile. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail and a customer centric mindset, making you an integral part of our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vehicle Damage assessments – The main conduit for gathering, organizing, and inputting vehicle damage related data.

Customer Communication – The main contact for all communication related to vehicle damages & estimates.

Conflict Resolution – investigate and resolve customer issues, escalating to the appropriate department or lead when necessary.

Collision Knowledge – Assist customers in reviewing and understanding their estimates/ repair worksheet and answer general collision inquiries.

Cross-Team Collaboration – Collaborate with Parts teammate, Team Leads and CSR’s to provide comprehensive solutions for clients. Communicating customer feedback to relevant departments.

Feedback and Reporting – Gather information from production staff, team lead and parts to provide insurance partners with accurate and up to date information through various portals (ARMS, Mitchell & Qapter).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years minimum Automotive related Experience (preferably autobody)
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
