POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Class 1 Truck Drivers, a strong customer service focus, and great people skills. A passion for the environment is a big plus!

As a local Truck Driver, you are accountable to ensure our customers receive the product they expect. Working in partnership with the Warehouse team, you have excellent customer service skills and can manage resolving customer issues as they arise. This is a physically demanding job.

Duties

  • Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
  • Driving to customers sites on a pre-set route and in-charge of everyday pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Complete an assigned daily route as assigned
  • Be able to interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • Dependable, meticulous, and dedicated to carrying out your work with safety in mind
  • Ensure safe operation of a truck, while driving, loading and unloading
  • Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
  • Attend all Safety or Tool Box Meetings, comply with policies and Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Class 1 BC driver license.
  • Mechanical knowledge of trucks and their operations is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
  • Ability to move freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, dispatchers, and team members effectively.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance in all driving activities.
  • Able to demonstrate safe lifting practices of up to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work schedule:

  • Approximately 25-30 hours per week / 5 to 12 hours per day
  • Mornings, Days, evenings and night shifts on weekdays or weekends.
  • Daily shift end times for associates vary based on production needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
