About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing customer programs from initial award through final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments, coordinating engineering, production, purchasing, and quality to ensure successful program execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of customer programs from kickoff to final approval.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers regarding schedules, changes, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, machining, purchasing, and quality.
  • Monitor budgets, change orders, and cost impacts.
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead internal program review meetings and customer update calls.
  • Track KPIs related to timing, cost, and quality performance.
  • Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and scope control throughout the project.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within program management processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7 years of experience in program/project management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in plastic injection molds or tooling industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production timelines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and ERP systems.

Preferred Assets

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
  • Technical background in machining or mold design.
  • Experience working with global suppliers (India/China exposure a plus).
  • Strong financial acumen related to project cost tracking and margin management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
