Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on problem-solver with a background in Mechanical Engineering Technology and experience in project coordination. This role will suit you if you enjoy applying engineering and technical principles in a practical setting, bridging design, fabrication, and project execution and project coordination.

You will be involved across the full manufacturing lifecycle, including:

  • Hands-on shop builds and prototype work.
  • Testing and field troubleshooting.
  • Drawings revision and maintenance of the Bill of Materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into practical engineering and manufacturing solutions.
  • Participate in prototype development and revisions to shop drawings and BOMs
  • Lead and perform assembly, and installation
  • Work as part of the Engineering team supporting design and research and development (R&D)
  • Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), cost estimates, and technical documentation
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project processes
  • Plan and manage projects from concept to completion
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, parts, and resources for projects
  • Monitor progress, update stakeholders, identify risks or delays

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or a related mechanical discipline
  • Project coordination or project management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to fabrication, manufacturing, or assembly processes (asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent) (asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
