DMD & Associates Electrical Consultants Ltd. is a consulting engineering firm providing a range of electrical, lighting, transportation and utility related engineering services to municipalities, government agencies, owners, developers and contractors. DMD undertakes projects as a sub-consultant to architectural and civil engineering firms or work under direct contract with the client. Our main regions of practice include Western Canada and the Western United States, although we frequently take our specialized services throughout North America. DMD also undertakes a broad range of electrical engineering services along with some specialized types of work.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a passionate EIT or Electrical Designer to join our team. Your overall organization, punctuality, involvement and drive to perform will contribute to advancement within our team. You must have a great attitude, a willingness to learn and the following requirements to be considered for the role:

  • Proven interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communications skills
  • Knowledge of power distribution, controls, lighting and the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Ability to follow instructions and have the willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments on time
  • Able to work both in a team and with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • AScT Designation is considered an asset

The successful applicant will:

  • Undertake electrical designs relating to power distribution, street lighting, traffic signals, sports lighting, decorative lighting etc.
  • Interface with clients and contractors
  • Conduct site visits before, during and after construction
