  • Communication and Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between drivers and customers, relaying information on timelines, load specifics, and changes in schedules.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all drivers comply with Kee West Auto Carriers’ policies, as well as federal and provincial regulations regarding hours of service, load limits, and driver safety.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, load manifests, and any incidents or delays.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dispatching experience, preferably in the auto-hauling or transportation industry.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and basic office software (MS Office). Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly relay instructions to drivers and maintain effective communication with customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet to resolve scheduling or logistical issues promptly.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with frequent use of computer and dispatch software.
  • Occasional on-call duties, especially during high-traffic periods or in cases of logistical emergencies.
