  • Perform hands-on restoration work as required, including water extraction, demolition, removal of damaged materials, content manipulation and drywall cuts.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, clients, property managers and other parties on site.
  • Explain the work being completed and provide appropriate updates throughout the job.
  • Identify issues or changes in the scope of work and communicate them promptly to the Emergency Manager.
  • Ensure company health and safety policies and procedures are followed by the crew.
  • Complete required job documentation, including photographs, measurements, equipment records and written reports.
  • Maintain an organized and professional job site.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and transport employees, equipment and materials as required.
  • Participate in the rotating 24-hour emergency on-call schedule.
  • Assist other departments and restoration teams as operational needs require.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in emergency restoration, water damage, fire/smoke restoration or a related field.
  • Experience leading or supervising a field crew.
  • The ability to organize a job site and assign and oversee work.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with homeowners and clients in stressful situations.
  • Good judgment and the ability to make decisions in a changing work environment.
  • Strong attention to documentation and job details.
  • The physical ability to perform restoration work.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours as part of the rotating on-call schedule.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Restoration certifications such as IICRC would be considered an asset.
