Overview

Castle Mountain Resort is hiring Dispatcher/First Aid Attendants for the 2026–2027 winter season. We’re a community‑focused resort with a true big‑mountain vibe and a hardworking, supportive team. Our Mountain Safety department offers exceptional hands‑on experience for those interested in future careers in the avalanche industry. Join our crew this winter!

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating operational communications between all outdoor operations departments
  • Recording operational information
  • Activating and coordinating additional resources as requested
  • Providing walk-in first-aid
  • Acting as first-aid support for on-hill accidents upon arrival to the infirmary
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the infirmary
  • Depending on skills and experience, some opportunities may be available for dispatchers to be trained as an entry-level patroller
  • Other duties, as required

Qualifications

  • An advanced level first aid ticket (70+ hours; Industry, Pre-hospital, or Wilderness), or higher. PEAK NUEC 3 preferred
  • A valid CPR-HCP level
  • Strong team member able to take direction
  • Trustworthy and capable of working unsupervised
  • Professional, with a high value on customer service
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to assess priorities and multitask
  • Pre-hospital or hospital care experience is an asset, but not required


Work Location:

Castle Mountain Resort, end of Highway 774, MD of Pincher Creek Alberta. This is a remote location. Staff accommodation is available for full-time, seasonal staff members.



Period of Employment:

Start date is mid-November 2026 with an end date in early April 2027. Please note this is a full-time, seasonal position. Part-time positions may be available. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview in mid August.

  • Lifting or moving objects up to 30lbs
  • Some outdoor and on-hill work may be required depending on skills and experience
