We are seeking professional and reliable Security Dispatcher to join our client’s manufacturing plants in the Cambridge, ON. Our client, one of the largest automotive companies in the world, is a leader in the automotive industry and a favourite amongst drivers around the world. They are known globally for their diverse vehicles, pioneering hybrid vehicles, and its extensive global manufacturing and sales, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainable mobility.

The ideal candidate has experience working as a security dispatcher and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, along with training in de-escalation and conflict management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The candidate will have knowledge of various fire systems and the ability to communicate effectively through radio communication.


Position Overview:

Position: Security Dispatcher

Location: Windsor, ON

Shift: Full Time. 12 hour rotation. 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights.

Pay Rate: Progressive $21.44/hour to $26.08/hour


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use of radios for communication
  • Proven ability to maintain written reports.
  • Desk duties as needed by Client & Site Ops Manager
  • Excellent telephone/radio communication skills and manner.
  • Monitor Responder safety through radio use.
  • Monitor and aid in responding to Fire alarm system.
  • Monitor and aid in responding to internal HMI production system.
  • Monitor and aid in responding to CCTV system.
  • Use of Radio dispatch system.
  • Gather relevant information to determine the type and severity of the call.
  • Adhere to all Site required PPE policies and wear all site PPE: Safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes/boots and cut resistance gloves.
  • Maintain daily log & incident reports using provided method.
  • Understanding and operating of fire panel/fireworks computer


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Ontario Security Licence
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certification. Red Cross certification is preferred.
  • G Class Drivers Licence with a clean abstract required.
  • Completion of a Security Dispatch or Emergency Communications course/program (e.g., security operations, emergency telecommunications, or dispatch training) and previous dispatch experience are required.
  • Ability to respond to situations with tact and diplomacy and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required.
  • Intermediate level use Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask required.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and maps.
  • Fire panel familiarization preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
