Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to join our caring team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance and support to clients in various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your ability to communicate fluently in Punjabi will help bridge language barriers and foster trusting relationships with clients and their families. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice or home care services. Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
  • Support patients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning client living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversations and activities that promote mental well-being
  • Help with transfers and heavy lifting using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
  • Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising staff

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a health care aide, preferably with assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care experience
  • Fluency in Punjabi is essential; strong communication skills in English are also required
  • Knowledge of patient care procedures, dementia care, senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks effectively
  • Experience with medication administration, meal preparation, and basic nursing duties is highly desirable
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others
  • Valid certification as a health care aide or equivalent credential as per local regulations
