Join WSP’s Buildings Structures team in Manitoba and play a key role in shaping resilient, safe, and innovative spaces for communities across the region. Based in Winnipeg , this intermediate‑level role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of building projects while continuing to grow your technical expertise within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Your Impact

  • Design and analyze structural systems for building projects including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
  • Prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications in support of design development and construction.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated building solutions.
  • Support project execution from concept through construction, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Apply relevant building codes, standards, and best practices to ensure safety, quality, and constructability.
  • Participate in site visits and condition assessments to support design and construction activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and technical collaboration.
  • Uphold WSP’s commitment to health, safety, sustainability, and quality on every project.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building projects.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian building codes and structural design standards.
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software for buildings.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Eligibility for security clearance is considered an asset.

Compensation

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $85,100 – $112,800
MB & ON: $77,700 – $107,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $76,900 – $102,100
