We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Assistant ECE Level I to join our early childhood education team on a part-time basis for a one-year contract. Educational Assistant Level I – Part-Time Split Shift

Position: Part-Time Educational Assistant Level I
Schedule: Split shift
Location: Saskatoon, SK

Hours:

The child attends kindergarten Monday, Wednesday, and alternating Fridays.

On school days, the hours are (split shift):

7:30–9:00 a.m.
3:00–5:45 p.m.

On the child's kindergarten days, additional daytime hours may be available,

The child is at daycare on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays.

On non school days, the hours are:

9:00–5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the child before and after school
Walking with the child and a small group of children to school in the morning
Picking the child up from school in the afternoon and walking back with the group
Providing supervision, care, and support during program hours
Working cooperatively with childcare staff and the child's school team
Following the recommendations from the behavioral therapist
Develop unique programming when needed
Helping provide a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to early childhood development standards.
Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging interactions and personalized attention.
Use effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Assist with documenting children’s progress and behavior observations to inform ongoing assessments.

Requirements

ECE Level I qualification
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Experience working with children is an asset
Reliable transportation/willingness to walk with children to and from school
Caring, patient, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
