Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill has been proudly serving the Quinte West community for the past two years from our location at Homestead Marketplace, 4 Douglas Road in Trenton. Owned and operated by Mike and Nickey Eden, our restaurant has built a reputation for its energetic atmosphere, exceptional service, and a strong connection to the local community.

Our 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant is home to Quinte’s largest outdoor covered patio. The 5,000 sq. ft. space features a full-service bar, comfortable lounge seating, an outdoor fire pit, massive TVs for sports viewing, a stage for live music and entertainment, and additional dining areas. We are a go-to destination for great food, live entertainment, and memorable guest experiences year-round.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven leader to oversee all operational aspects of Shoeless Joe’s Trenton. As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and elevating the high standards we’ve built over the past three years—ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, and continued business growth.

This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and a deep understanding of restaurant operations in a high-volume, entertainment-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily operations of a high-volume, established restaurant and patio
  • Manage inventory, food ordering, and stock control to ensure efficiency, minimize waste, and maintain product quality
  • Drive operational excellence, revenue growth, and profitability through strategic planning
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members
  • Lead and mentor team members through consistent communication and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams to execute promotions, live entertainment, and community-driven initiatives
  • Analyze market trends, guest feedback, and competitive positioning to drive innovation
  • Foster a positive, team-focused culture that supports retention and development

What You’ll Bring To The Team:

  • Proven experience in restaurant operations and leadership, preferably in high-volume environments
  • Strong financial acumen and business management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Knowledge of relevant food service and alcohol regulations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Second language is an asset
