Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing and mix management.
  • Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels.
  • Provide guidance on corporate transient negotiated pricing, wholesale pricing and group pricing.
  • Active participation in the hotel’s annual operating budget.
  • Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place that reflect asset strength relative to the competition in each market.
  • Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategy in all distribution channels including Branded Web,3rdParty Sites, and Global Distribution System (GDS).
  • Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to branded website.
  • Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance
  • Review and analyze CoStar data on a weekly and monthly basis with Hotel Management Teams.
  • Compile Weekly Performance Reports to analyze key drivers to market share performance and understand overall effectiveness of strategies.
  • Complete understanding and effective execution of current and new RM tools. Includes Opera Cloud PMS,iDeas, Envision, Rate Shopper, CoStar reports, Channel Reports, Sales Pace reports and any new tools or reports developed.
  • Clearly communicate to hotel team strategic vision and objectives on how to drive revenues and improve performance.
  • Provide hotel team with regular updates on hotel performance to include market share, market segment, channel metrics etc.
  • Educate sales team on effective use of Envision to improve profitability of group bookings.
  • Lead the property’s weekly Revenue Management Meeting and Daily Business Review Meeting.
  • Produce accurate forecast on weekly and monthly basis (frequency determined by hotel controller).
  • Validate comp setRevPARforecast by month to ensure effective soft spot calendar planning.
  • Develop and update Strategic Sales Plan with the Director of Sales (DOS).
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Reservations team.
  • Assist in developing a career path for direct reports.

Compensation

$120,000 - $125,000/a

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years Hotel Revenue Management experience in a Luxury Hotel or related industry.

Progressive hotel experience in a similar capacity with at least 3-5 years of management experience. Experience in Reservations and Front Office considered an asset.

Strong analytical and decision making skills

Strong Multi-tasking abilities and detail oriented

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Prior experience with Opera Cloud and IDeaS G3, and Hyatt's Envision and RESERVE systems preferred.
