Full job description

Details:

-Shift work rotation will be 12am - 9:15 am school days and 12am-12:15pm weekends and non-school days. Rotation schedule includes alternate weekends
- Group home setting for youth age 12-15
- Must hold a class 5 minimum novice 2 license, we are unable to accept an international license.
- A criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check will be required

Duties:

- Provide supervision and guidance to youth in a safe and supportive environment
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for children
- Assist with homework and life skills
- Foster positive relationships with youth and promote social-emotional development
- Maintain a clean and organized space, prepare food
- Establish and maintain healthy professional boundaries
- All staff must be able to drive up to 5 youth in our vehicle. A class 5 minimum novice 2 license is required to add staff to our insurance, an international license does not meet this requirement

Experience:

- Previous experience working with children or youth in an similar setting
- Ability to engage and connect with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors
