Description:
Provides administrative and secretarial support to the hospital program. The Clinical Team Secretary is responsible for performing a range of clerical, administrative, and secretarial duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the program daily. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for the assigned program.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an approved Medical Secretarial Education Program.
  • Keyboarding (50 WPM) and dicta typing skills.
  • Computer skills using Word Perfect, Word, Quattro Pro, Excel, E-mail and Internet.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and requirements of the Mental Health Act and the Ontario Public Hospital Act related to clinical records.
  • Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent CPIC (within 6 Months) including, vulnerable sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a professional multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is preferred.

Salary Range:
31.45 to 34.48 per hour
