Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound Technologist, where your expertise will bring clarity and comfort to patients through advanced imaging techniques. In this vital role, you will operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images that assist physicians in detecting and monitoring various medical conditions. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients across a variety of clinical settings, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and answering any questions to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adjusting settings for optimal image quality based on the specific examination requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to review images, provide preliminary findings, and assist in diagnosis.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging results in accordance with hospital policies and privacy regulations.
  • Ensure all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized after each use to uphold safety standards.
  • Stay current with technological advancements in ultrasound imaging through ongoing education and training opportunities.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in a clinical setting.
  • Certification from a recognized credentialing body such as the Canadian Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Canada.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to various ultrasound procedures.
  • Strong technical skills in operating diverse ultrasound equipment and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety standards.
