About us

Cash & Carry Carpet Centre

We are a family flooring company since 1995 serving the greater Ottawa area. We provide full service flooring needs to commercial and residential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a 5 ton truck in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario valley to deliver flooring materials
  • Must provide a clean drivers abstract to be considered
  • Deliver approximately 2 - 3 deliveries per day (heavy lifting of boxes up to 50lbs/box)
  • Deliver boxes or carpets to clients home or business in an orderly fashion
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming transport and stack them to assigned places
  • Ability to drive a forklift to unload skids and carpets from transport or relocate them in the warehouse
  • Cut carpet and prepare orders for installations
  • Pick-up/deliver materials to/from suppliers to job sites
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities - loading dock and show room
  • General janitorial duties

Skills

  • Proven experience as forklift operator
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination (able to lift up to 50lbs)
  • High school diploma
  • Valid "G' license
  • Criminal record check

Salary: $21.00 per hour to start
