Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable DZ Driver to join our team for DZ local p&d of alcohol products out of Oakville, ON. This is a long-term role, looking for someone with strong customer service skills, and a hard-working attitude.

Job Specifics

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift - Start time varies between 5am-9am
  • Approximately 50-55 Hrs per week
  • Straight truck
  • $25.76/Hr to start - Once hired on, pay increases to $26.64
  • LTL deliveries of alcohol products to grocery stores, restaurants, residences, etc.
  • Use of power walkie or other delivery equipment
  • Must be comfortable breaking down skids of product and delivering with equipment
  • Heavy lifting 50lbs+- Must be willing to do physical work
  • Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Skills

  • 3 Years of Verifiable Commercial DZ driving experience
  • Experience with city p&d and driving downtown Toronto
  • Clean abstract and CVOR
  • Proven experience in DZ LTL deliveries with a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity and experience using a tailgate and power walkie
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • PR Status or Citizen
  • Must be a payrolled employee - No Independent contractors!!
