Canadian Restaurant Supply Ltd. is a locally owned small business based in Kelowna, BC. We design and supply commercial kitchens across Canada and support customers with everything from smallwares and equipment to complete kitchen projects.

We are a professional, agile, and collaborative team that values great customer service, practical problem-solving, and people who are willing to help wherever needed.

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Customer Support Agent to join our Team.

This is primarily a customer support and showroom position. You will assist customers in person, by phone, and online, prepare quotes, process orders, and work with other departments to keep customers informed and orders moving.

Our Customer Support Agents are also cross-trained to provide backup warehouse coverage during vacations, absences, and particularly busy periods. This may include picking and packing orders, booking shipments, receiving inventory, moving products, and learning to operate a forklift.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting customers and assisting them in our showroom
  • Communicating with customers in person, by phone, and online
  • Answering product questions and helping customers find appropriate solutions
  • Preparing quotes and processing sales orders through our ERP and quoting software
  • Following up with customers and keeping requests, quotes, and orders organized
  • Working with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support customer orders
  • Helping resolve customer concerns and following up to ensure they are addressed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom
  • Stocking shelves and ensuring pricing and product information are accurate
  • Creating and updating showroom displays and product sell sheets as needed
  • Participating in product and industry training
  • Contributing positively to the CRS team and workplace culture
  • Completing special projects and other related duties as assigned

Backup Warehouse Responsibilities

When additional warehouse coverage is required, you may also assist with:

  • Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders
  • Booking shipments and preparing shipping documentation
  • Receiving incoming shipments and checking products against packing documents
  • Stocking and organizing inventory
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products safely
  • Assisting customers with order pickups
  • Operating warehouse equipment, including a forklift, once trained and authorized

Warehouse work is not the primary focus of this role, but all Customer Support Agents are expected to be willing and able to provide backup support when needed.

Who You Are

  • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable speaking with customers
  • Patient and able to handle questions or concerns professionally
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable learning new products, systems, and procedures
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to help outside your regular duties when coverage is needed
  • Comfortable working at a desk, in the showroom, and occasionally in the warehouse
  • Able to remain seated or standing for extended periods
  • Able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, administrative, or order-processing experience is an asset
  • Experience using ERP, inventory, point-of-sale, or quoting software is an asset
  • Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of restaurant equipment, kitchen supplies, or the hospitality industry is an asset
  • Forklift experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided

We are willing to train the right person who brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping customers.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Product, software, shipping, receiving, and forklift training
  • Opportunities for learning and career development
  • Casual work attire
  • Company perks
  • Regular team and social events
  • Occasional staff meals, lunches, and treats
  • A lively, hands-on workplace where no two days are exactly the same
