Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and operations, with exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with customers and service technicians. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately assessing service needs and providing clear information about repairs and maintenance.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, determining their service needs.
  • Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately for the service team.
  • Provide detailed explanations of repair services, including necessary maintenance and potential upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of services.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments.
  • Follow up with customers regarding service status and ensure they are informed throughout the process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive/diesel industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
  • Proven sales skills with the ability to upsell services based on customer needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating patience and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential.
  • A background in automotive and diesel repair is highly desirable.
