Job Title: Sales and Leasing Consultant (New and Used vehicles)

Reports to: Sales Manager

Summary Statement

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sales and Leasing Consultant (New and Used vehicles) has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding individual sales targets and customer experience scores while maintaining compliance with all required provincial licenses and mandatory professional development courses.

Qualifications

Standard Specifications: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the Sales Representative will posses the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.

Education

· Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent is considered an asset

Knowledge

· 2+ years of experience in an automotive dealership role, with retail vehicle sales considered an asset

· Experience working with the following computer environments is considered an asset: Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Outlook.

Skills/Abilities/Attributes

· Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills

· Commitment to sales excellence, including adherence to systems and process requirements

· Inquisitive, empathetic, energetic and a team player

· Ability to build long-standing and trusting customer relationships

· Problem solving skills in order to resolve customer issues

· Demonstrate a willingness to learn and participate in all mandatory training

· An inherent affinity towards automobiles

· High morale standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent information

Required

· Valid Ontario Drivers License and Clean Abstract

· OMVIC Certification

Accountabilities

Sales Performance

· Sell and deliver New and Used Vehicles by providing a high-quality customer experience

· Ensure individual sales targets (sales volume, sales gross) are met or exceeded

· Adhere to company sales processes and procedures

· Promote ancillary products sold by F&I

· Maintain accurate CRM data and provide quality follow upon all un-sold opportunities within 12hrs or sooner

· Assist in departmental merchandising efforts

Professional Development

· Participate in dealership Customer Experience training

· Live our values as stated in the Employee Handbook

· Maintain mandatory provincial licenses and safety certifications

· Complete all mandatory manufacturer training

· Adhere to all health and safety policies and protocols

Customer Engagement

· Building and nurturing a recurring business portfolio

· Foster customer engagement initiatives and be active on social media

· Be a company ambassador in and outside of the dealership

Key Performance Indicators

· Meet or exceed unit sales targets

· Meet or exceed gross sales targets

· Maintain Customer Viewpoint at group average or greater

· Maintain Net Promoter Score (NPS) at or above monthly OEM group average

· Reply to e-leads within 15 minutes of the dealership receiving it

Decision Making Authority

· Collaborate with the Sales Manager to make final decision on deal strategy and customer engagement activities

· Responsible for the day-to-day sales activities attributed to progressing deals and nurturing your sales funnel

· Responsible for determining the priority of tasks within the scope of the position

Working Conditions

· Works in a climate-controlled office and outdoor seasonal conditions

· Accompanying all test drives with customers on a pre-determined route
