Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Bottling Laborer to support our winery’s bottling and packaging operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring wine is bottled, packaged, and handled safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Working closely with the bottling team and cellar staff, the Bottling Laborer helps maintain steady production flow and contributes to delivering a finished product that reflects our commitment to excellence.

This position is based at our West Kelowna location at 3725 Boucherie Rd, West Kelowna, BC V4T 0A8 - Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Load empty wine bottles, corks, capsules, screw caps, and labels onto the bottling line.
  • Assist in unpacking and organizing packaging materials for production runs.
  • Pack filled bottles into cases
  • Palletize and stretch-wrap finished cases for storage or shipment.
  • Remove defective bottles or packaging materials and report issues to the Assistant Winemaker
  • Move materials and finished products safely around the winery, ensuring proper storage and organization.
  • Help with seasonal labeling, gift packaging, or special bottling projects.
  • Conduct visual checks on bottles, labels, and closures to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to workplace safety rules (e.g., WorkSafe BC).
  • Maintain a clean and organized bottling and packaging area.
  • Perform other cellar or production duties as assigned by the Assistant Winemaker.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food & beverage manufacturing or winery production is considered an asset.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8–12 hour shifts).
  • Ability to lift up to up to 50+ lbs repetitively.
  • Ability to bend and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • May require weekend or seasonal extended hours during peak bottling periods.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety standards.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

What we offer

  • The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
  • Casual contract
