Watching abuse from night float and none cares ... I quit because of it

Answered

Money talks - get our wages on par with IHA. Where is the money the Gov't set aside to do just that? Why can we not have that now? It would also be nice if there was greater recognition for all the people who are continuously working short staffed and extending their shifts to cover, and a box of Timmies donuts will not do! Perhaps a bonus at the end of each month or the year like a few $ for every shift you worked short and for those who work a year without a sick day.

Answered

There are never 4 hour float shifts, they’re currently changing all care aide shifts to 12 hours because they don’t have enough staff to take care of the residents, and they consistently run short staffed so you do the work of 3 people
