Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive knowledge of food safety standards. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing food service, and ensuring high-quality food presentation. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food prep personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance
  • Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimize kitchen operations
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards
  • Lead by example in practicing food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
  • Serve as a mentor to team members, providing training on cooking techniques and hospitality standards
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant management principles, including inventory control and customer service
  • Experience in hospitality settings with an emphasis on food safety regulations and standards
  • Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Prior restaurant experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of kitchen operations and culinary techniques
