The Opportunity
The successful candidate will provide enterprise network implementation, operational support, maintenance and troubleshooting for VCURA clients.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone with strong Cisco networking expertise who can work independently, take ownership of client environments and collaborate effectively with other technical professionals.
The Network Analyst will support the full lifecycle of enterprise network infrastructure, including monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, implementation and lifecycle planning.
You will work closely with VCURA’s technical teams, client stakeholders and technology vendors to help ensure network environments remain secure, stable, supported and aligned with the client’s business requirements.
This includes:
- Maintaining the health, availability and performance of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Responding quickly and following through on technical and client commitments.
- Identifying and resolving network issues before they significantly affect business operations.
- Planning and completing patches, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
- Supporting the implementation and deployment of new network systems.
- Providing technical input into network architecture and design decisions.
- Developing clear maintenance plans, test plans, technical documentation and project timelines.
- Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with VCURA’s networking, cybersecurity and service-delivery teams.
- Building trusted client relationships through reliable, professional and responsive service.
What You’ll Do
Maintain and Support Enterprise Networks
- Perform day-to-day monitoring, maintenance and support of enterprise network and communications infrastructure.
- Monitor the health, availability, capacity and performance of network systems.
- Maintain switching, routing and wireless infrastructure to help ensure systems operate at peak health.
- Perform preventative maintenance and proactive monitoring to minimize outages and service disruption.
- Review alerts, incidents and service tickets through platforms
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to increase reliability and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Network Issues
- Diagnose and resolve complex network performance, connectivity and configuration issues.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, communications and related infrastructure.
- Upgrade network device hardware, software and firmware as required.
- Coordinate incident response and technical escalation with internal teams, clients and technology vendors.
- Document root causes, resolutions and recommended preventative actions.
- Communicate issue status, impact and resolution clearly to client stakeholders.
Manage Patching, Upgrades and Lifecycle Activities
- Monitor, patch and maintain Cisco network infrastructure.
- Perform firmware and software updates across Cisco environments.
- Support lifecycle planning for network devices, software and support contracts.
- Maintain Cisco Catalyst Center, Nexus, ACI and related platforms.
- Identify unsupported, aging or vulnerable infrastructure and recommend appropriate remediation or replacement plans.
- Develop maintenance plans, implementation plans and test plans for upgrades and changes.
- Complete post-change validation and confirm that systems are operating as expected.
Support Network Implementations and Projects
- Assist with the design, implementation and deployment of new network systems and equipment.
- Participate in network refreshes, expansions, migrations and modernization projects.
- Provide technical input on network architecture, hardware selection and implementation approaches.
- Develop project timelines, technical requirements and implementation documentation.
- Perform testing, validation and post-deployment support.
- Work closely with project managers, technical specialists, vendors and client teams to ensure successful delivery.
Support Client Relationships
- Actively participate in client meetings, technical reviews and account discussions.
- Develop an understanding of each client’s network environment, business requirements and operational priorities.
- Provide clear technical recommendations and explain risks, options and expected outcomes.
- Follow through on client requests, technical commitments and identified action items.
- Help ensure client environments are well documented, supported and maintained.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships through responsiveness, accountability and technical expertise.
Manage Vendors and Support Agreements
- Work with technology vendors to resolve technical issues and support escalations.
- Manage vendor support cases and coordinate required troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with support-contract, maintenance and renewal requirements.
- Support the administration and use of Cisco CX Cloud and related vendor-support platforms.
- Maintain awareness of vendor product lifecycles, support requirements, software releases and recommended practices.
Maintain Documentation and Technical Standards
- Develop and maintain network diagrams, configuration records and technical documentation.
- Create functional requirements, specifications and implementation documents as required.
- Document maintenance procedures, test plans, operational processes and support requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of device health, changes, incidents and lifecycle status.
- Help develop repeatable technical standards and operational practices across client environments.
Develop Technical Expertise
- Maintain current knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and recommended practices.
- Stay informed about emerging network, cloud and cybersecurity technologies.
- Participate in vendor training, technical enablement and certification programs.
- Share knowledge with other VCURA technical professionals.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of VCURA’s networking services and technical capabilities.
What You Bring
- Five or more years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
- Strong experience supporting Cisco network environments.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring, maintenance, patching and lifecycle management.
