If you're someone who can think three steps ahead, communicate confidently with drivers and customers, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, we'd love to meet you.

At Bacres Grain Transportation (a division of Group Solum), every load matters. Growers, partners, and customers depend on us to move freight safely, efficiently, and on time. As our Logistics Dispatcher, you'll play a critical role in coordinating transportation, optimizing freight movements, supporting drivers, and helping keep Ontario's agriculture industry moving.

Why Join Bacres Grain Transportation?

✅ Join a growing transportation company where your decisions make a daily impact

✅ Work with experienced leaders who value ownership, communication, and initiative

✅ Modern dispatch systems and technology that help you succeed

✅ Competitive compensation, employer-paid benefits, and RRSP matching

✅ Long-term career growth in a stable and growing organization

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate daily transportation schedules, including headhaul and backhaul opportunities.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure freight moves safely and on time.
  • Optimize routes and respond quickly to changing operational priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-border shipments and transportation documentation.
  • Maintain fleet compliance, permits, insurance records, and transportation documentation.
  • Support driver onboarding, communication, and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Resolve transportation challenges while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Continuously improve dispatch processes and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in transportation dispatch, logistics, or fleet coordination.
  • Experience coordinating headhaul, backhaul, and creating new market opportunities is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation compliance, including CVOR, IFTA, IRP, US DOT, and cross-border documentation, is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining transportation records.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when operational demands require it, including occasional evenings, weekends, and peak-season support.

What You'll Get

  • Full-time, permanent employment.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Employer-paid Health, Dental & Vision benefits.
  • RRSP Matching Program.
